The Trichy marathon will be a mini marathon which will be held in Trichy city on 2nd February,2014. The marathon starts from Thillai nagar and runs along the roads of Trichy city and ends in Thillai nagar. The mini marathon has 2 different race categories:

 

1) BHEL employees, Students from BIM, NIT,IIM-Trichy, students from different colleges of Trichy & people across Trichy-6kms, 4

 

2) School kids from across Trichy-3kms.Tamil Nadu has the highest Road Accidents for the past 10 years and it is on the rise. Close to 8 Accidents occurs every hour.

 

The main aim of this event would be to create awareness about safe driving as the number of accidents in Trichy has been accentuating over the period of time.
